Being a Celebrant is not only a super fun vocation but you get to meet all sorts of people from all walks of life. With this unusually warm Autumn we have enjoyed the best weather for wedding ceremonies. Celebrants can fulfil many roles from baby naming celebrations to funerals and vow renewals. Our roles are about being able to officiate and celebrate any milestone at all. I was able to be in a role of a second celebrant to Alex and Scott. They had their legal wedding overseas and wanted to celebrate with all their Australian friends and family right here in Coffs Harbour . I was able to use parts of their original ceremony and create their “Aussie “ version ceremony. We celebrated in style at their family home and I found myself quite emotional with the entrance of Scottish bagpipes playing as Alex walked in with her parents to meet Scott. A couple truly in love made it so wonderful to be a part of , as they repeated their original vows and then celebrated their commitment. As they kissed the black cockatoos all sang and departed in unison from the trees above-it was one of those rare moments just shared with the people who were there-a unified gasp was echoed!! June has now arrived and this is when I am now busy chatting to couples who are planning their 2017 weddings. It is never too early to plan and I am happy to answer all questions!
