Weddings and Christmas celebrate a moment in time, I hope yours has been as good as mine!

Christmas time is like a wedding, another milestone and another marker in time that jolts us into reality. It is a happy time, a reflective time and sometimes a sad time as we reflect on where we are in our lives, who makes up our lives and what has changed since this time last year.

For me I have had the most amazing time as I was surprised by my son who lives in Darwin and his partner, so I had my complete family celebrating with me. I am still on a major high and I can be seen in Coffs Harbour with a grin from ear to ear! My mother joined me from Sydney and we celebrated with all sorts of people with friends past and present and from all sorts of family dynamics. I feel like the luckiest person alive.

I was also extremely proud of my middle son, James, who walked for 10 hours with his girlfriend, Allyson, to raise money and awareness for those less fortunate at this time. They were highlighting how severe mental illness often leads to homelessness and that the facilities for these people are not really available as they need food and shelter. How timely is this?

I am hoping that you all had a fabulous Christmas whatever you got up to and that 2015 is your year! For many of you getting married this IS your year and I am very excited to be a part of your day. Merry Christmas from my family to yours xxxx
