15th December 2013

With my last wedding for 2013 yesterday I am in a reminiscing mood! It was beautiful to end the year with the wedding of Chris and Sally at Bonville International Golf Course. They truly adore each other and despite living in Queensland , they managed to bring it all together with family coming from everywhere to join up in Coffs Harbour.
I absolutely love being in the moment with couples. The “build up” when I am standing with the groom and his groomsmen, looking at everyone in the audience is palpable.
I then love when the music kicks in and the bridemaids enter followed by that moment when the bride and groom lock eyes. I see a combination of heightened emotions born from the whole preparation that has happened over so many months, sometimes a year and then that feeling of pure relief-we made it-we are here-it’s that time-its actually happening!
I then really enjoy launching into the ceremony and of course-every single one is unique and special. My next favourite part is the vows. It is like the couple and I are in our own “bubble” of sorts. I am assisting with the formal legal words but then I am a front row witness to the well thought out and real emotion to the words that are exchanged between the bride and groom. How special is that!
I then love the final announcement of pronouncing them husband and wife and you may now kiss!
Thanks again to everyone I have met and had the privilege of sharing your day and for trusting in me to help make your day special.
I am really looking forward to 2014 and I am happy to say that will start on January 5th 2014!
